Awards

The award, named for long time DIAA member, Board of Directors (BOD) Member, and Association Officer William J. Wetzel, recognizes the contribution of individuals who exhibit professional excellence and exceptional dedication to duty in support of the DIAA mission and vision.
DIAA takes pride in sponsoring the tri-annual SSG Hobson Silver Pen Award to the graduate of the Attaché́ Staff Training Class in the Joint Military Attache School's (JMAS) Attache Support Training Program (ASTP) who submits the best operations plan, as selected by the JMAS facility.
The DIA Torch Bearers Award was created in 2010 to recognize outstanding achievements and long-term contributions to defense intelligence, and whose performance embodied the Agency's core values and principles.
