Stephen John Parisi, 70, died surrounded by family at the University of Virginia Medical Center on Friday, Jan. 16, 2015, from pneumonia complications caused by lung cancer.
Born on June 17, 1944, in Brooklyn, N.Y., he lived in Stafford County and retired in 2004 from the DIA after 42 years of service. He was an avid Washington sports fan and an aquarium enthusiast.
Stephen is survived by his wife of 44 years, Elaine; son Michael and wife Heather of Nokesville; son Brian and wife Stephanie of Allentown, Pa.; brother Joseph and wife Carol of Fredericksburg; sister Claire and husband Raul of Fairfax Station; brother-in-law Glenn and wife Alice of Moneta; and three grandsons, Owen, Nathan and Andrew. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Rose.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 21, at Mullins and Thompson Funeral Service, Stafford, where a service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 22.
