Defense Intelligence Alumni Association Board of Directors Elections
The Defense Intel Alumni Association (DIAA) Board of Directors (BOD) will have several vacant positions to be filled at our annual DIAA Business Meeting convening on 18 April 2017 at the Ft Myer Officers’ Club.
All DIAA members in good standing (see note below) are eligible to seek election to these vacant positions. Interested parties must announce their candidacy by sending an email to email@example.com no later than COB 7 April, along with a short biography of no more than 150 words. All eligible candidates will be added to the ballot and their biography made available to voters present at the Business Meeting. There are currently no provisions for proxies or absentee ballots. Lapsed memberships can be renewed at the business meeting, if necessary, and the reinstated member will receive a ballot. DIAA members desiring to only attend the Annual Business Meeting and vote are not required to pay and stay for the Spring Luncheon. For those desiring to attend the luncheon, information and reservation forms are available at: Spring Luncheon
Note: At present, BOD vacancies can only be filled from applicants residing in the Washington Metro area because our arrangement with DIA will not allow a “virtual board meeting” in the DIA Headquarters building. We are looking at options to rectify this situation. However, members who would like to serve on our various association committees are not bound by this constraint and can participate regardless of where they may live. Below are the functional areas routinely requiring assistance to accomplish Association business. Interest parties in one or more of these functions can send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org to express your interest.
