“Doing Business with China” - Ralph Winnie, Director of the Eurasian Business Coalition’s China Program, spoke to the attendees at the 21 April DIForum concerning his assignment as the Business Development Representative for North America with the Guangxi Investment Promotion Agency. In this role he was responsible for the promotion of business development, tax and trade between Guangxi province in the People Republic of China and the United States. After his presentation, Ralph answered questions on how Beijing is dealing with corruption at all levels in business and the impact of China’s rapid economic development over the past decade and what it means to the United States. Ralph recently returned from a visit to Cuba and has offered to share his experiences at the June DIForum.
About the Author: Ralph received an LL.M in Taxation from Georgetown University Law Center in 2002 and graduated magna cum laude from Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center in 1999. He is a member of the District of Columbia and New York Bars and is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court. He studied international law at Oxford University (Magdalen College) in Oxford, the United Kingdom and Moscow State University in Moscow, Russia.
