Jim Riggins
Jim Riggins currently serves as a Senior Advisor to the Defense Intel Alumni Association Board of Directors. He has served as DIAA Membership chair and as President and is also the editor of the monthly newsletter.
Mr. Riggins is a retired Lt. Colonel, USAF, and brings more than 40 years of Intelligence and national security experience spanning broad functional, management, and resource areas, plus 16 years of experience in IC contracting to the DIAA Board of Directors.
Jim has served in Air Force assignments at the Tactical Air, Strategic Air, and Air Combat Commands levels and served three tours at the National Security Agency, where he attended the NSA Director's Junior Officer Cryptologic Career Program (JOCCP), and later served as Branch Chief for a Joint Service team of over 50 analysts providing SIGINT analytic support to PACOM and the National Command Authorities. He had two tours at DIA, serving in the SIGINT Branch (DC-7), the Plans and Policy office and later as Chief of Staff, Joint Intelligence Virtual Architecture Program Office JIVA).
He retired from the Air Force after 24 years where he served in diverse operational unit and HQ Staff assignments, including as HQ PACAF, Director of Security, Chief, Collection Management for the 7th Air Force in Korea.
Prior to retirement and joining the DIAA Board of Directors, Mr. Riggins was the Vice President and Director, Joint Programs in L-3 Communications Titan Group, Intelligence Systems Business Unit, as the National Conference Services Inc. (NCSI) Executive Director, Intelligence Community Programs and Initiatives, followed by a tour as Senior Principal for Defense Intelligence with SRA International and finally as the DIA Solutions and Strategy Executive for the TASC Intelligence Group in Chantilly, Virginia.
