Walter "Wally" Zampella
Wally Zampella served at DIA during the 1980s and 1990s in both military and civilian assignments. He is a retired intelligence officer currently serving as a Booz Allen Hamilton contractor supporting USSOCOM at MacDill Air Force Base, Tampa, FL.
Wally’s Intelligence Community career focused on Congressional engagements, and both tactical and strategic all-source intelligence analysis. His DIA assignments included the Office for Congressional Affairs (OCA), DI’s Counterproliferation and Technology Office (CPT-1), the Joint Staff (J2M (Mideast) and J2 Warning), and the Middle East Military Capabilities Branch (DB-8C).
Wally retired from federal service in November 2022. He currently is a Strategic Planner in the USSOCOM J10 (Countering WMD) Directorate, supporting the Command's Coordinating Authority by facilitating interagency and Allied/Partner engagements on CWMD issues.
Wally and his wife Hildy live in Sarasota, FL. His volunteer work includes Scouting (currently a Committee Member with Boy Scout Troop 50 in Sarasota FL) and the All-Faith Food Bank.
