2014 Feds Feeds Families - For the third consecutive year DIAA supported DIA's "Feds Feeds Families" food drive. The DIA Council of Employees launched the 2014 "Feds Feeds Families" efforts on 1 June and it ran through the end of August. The designated Agency was the Capital Area Food Bank (CAFB) which distributes donations throughout their network of over 7000 partner organizations. This program allows underprivileged families to access local food banks and pantries to receive sufficient food during the summer months when resources are traditionally low. Last year, DIA collected 6500 pounds of food and non-perishable items in support of the "Feds Feeds Families" food drive. DIAA's collection effort in support of "Feds Feeds Families" makes a difference.
The DIA Council of Employees presented DIAA with a Certificate of Appreciation for its role in the 2014 food drive. We hope to begin our collection for the next “Feds Feeds Families” food drive in early June 2015.
